Heheheh, I doubt I'll ever do vodka in the nose again. It was captured on film and that's enough for me. I actually haven't shot any silly footage like that in years, but still have a TON of it to upload online at some point. |

I have no idea yet. Probably nothing too much this year, but I'll make sure I get into some type of fun with a few close friends. Kinda' playing it all by ear this time. |

Ah, yes. How could I have possibly let our upcoming Niagara Falls journey slip my mind? My memory just hasn't been the same since I got hit by that train in Iceland. Yep, our birthdays are just around the corner! |

Heheh, I've been doing a WEE BIT better of a job picking my own kind lately - but the pickins' are slim! Is your birthday right around now? |

We'll see what it evolves into over time as I travel down into the vortex of deep writing - and of course you very well could be of possible help in the future, I'd say!
So, anything exciting happen with you over the weekend? Mine was fairly chill - hung out with my uncle for his birthday last night, did an interview with Chase Beebe, and pretty much lounged around the rest of the time. |

Well, I like to toss in a little reality with our disillusions every now and then. I have just barely scratched the surface with that lil' project, but I'll be sure to let you know when it's coming together somewhat decently. I'm mainly writing it to be spoken at this point, so I can get on stage and crank some words out in front of audiences. It's going to be kind of intense material. |

I'm hoping to become a bit funnier here in the next year or so, heheheh. Currently I've started writing some pieces of comedy/social critic/uncensored philosophy. Nothing will be ready for quite some time, but I'm having fun with it. |

HA! Yeah, that would probably beat out the Gulf. I got to see some Louisiana swamps when I was in New Orleans. Looking for alligators and what not. |

Nice! I like to do some vocal work myself (mainly spoken word style), but I've never graduated to making my own music for it. I have a couple of buddies who provide me with my background music, so it works out (when I'm not being lazy).
Yeah, the only places to swim around here are pools. I went swimming in the Gulf of Mexico once and it was pretty dirty. |

 |
Awesome. What is it that you do with music again? (Or did we ever discuss that?)
I really want to go swimming myself - it's been about 3 years now since I've been in a pool.
Love making? Proof, huh? And what kind of proof do you have? |
| by DarrickPatrick on 09.08.2008 12:49 |

Okay, I might be fibbing a bit.
Possibly.
What's been up with you this weekend? |

I'm a delicate flower.
I fall over in the wind. |

You sure are an uplifting and positive ray of sunshine! You have me all full of happiness with your kind and inspiring words. Ever think about being a motivational speaker? |

I was going for more of a medicore, middle-aged, psychedelic MOUNTAIN GOAT impression, but I'm just not as charming as I used to be in my younger days, I suppose. |

Well, I figured I could use that sentence at least once during the time we chat and the opportunity was there. I'll make a good ol' attempt to not left it happen again. Please don't beat me with your paddle.
Ah, THE ISLAND! Perhaps that could be our space ship with a little bit of work. |

Nice - I knew your technical skills would pave the way to our achievement.
I actually hate to say this: but I not familiar with a single person on that lil' list of humans you sent me. That makes me feel very cultured, heheheh... |

hey! i'm well, just getting back into the swing of working, joining the rest of the human race! yes, my husband is the one who got me into mma years and years ago. He's been watching it since UFC 1, but me on the other hand, didn't get into MMA until mid PRIDE days. We are actually going to UFC 88 in Atlanta...i'm so excited! And we just heard EliteXC may do a show near Miami, Florida, so we can go to that also. So should be exciting!
how have you been? how are things going with the person you met at the beach : ) |
For Hamill, fighting Franklin is what it’s like when worlds collide
Chuck Mindenhall, UFC - When he was a math teacher at Oak Hills High in Cincinnati, Rich Franklin liked his students to show proof of their work on assignments because, well—math is all about how you got there. Though Matt Hamill was never a direct student of Franklin's, he has worked out a simple equation: Train hard, beat Franklin at 205, and become a legitimate contender in the most glamorous division of them all.
Roan Carneiro – Atlanta’s Newest Resident Looks to Thrill Fans on Sept. 6
Thomas Gerbasi, UFC - Throughout the ups and downs of his mixed martial arts career, welterweight Roan Carneiro has kept a pretty positive outlook on things, choosing to look at the bright side where others would just search for negatives. Take his thoughts on his time in the fight game and its high and low points.
Parisyan Feels No Need to Panic
Dave Sholler, UFC - Karo Parisyan couldn't put a finger on it, but he knew something was wrong in the months leading up to his bout with Thiago Alves last April. Despite coming off a unanimous decision victory over Ryo Chonan at UFC 78 in November, Parisyan was struggling to maintain his focus while preparing for his next fight. If waning focus wasn't enough to raise concerns, Parisyan couldn't sleep. And even though he was in training mode, he barely had an appetite.

In a light heavyweight bout, Jason Brilz squares off against former heavyweight Brad Morris.
Tim Boetsch – The ‘Barbarian’s MMA Education Continues
Thomas Gerbasi, UFC - The tank was empty and Tim Boetsch still had ten minutes to go."This isn't gonna be pretty," thought the light heavyweight prospect as he trudged back into battle for the second round of his April bout against Matt Hamill. The first round had gone fairly well for the Sunbury, Pennsylvania resident, but by the time those opening five minutes were over, the altitude at the Broomfield Event Center in Colorado had kicked in and sapped him of his strength.
Don’t Make Dan Henderson Angry—You Wouldn’t Like Him When He’s Angry
Chuck Mindenhall, UFC - May 15, 1998. That was the last time that Dan Henderson won in the UFC—ten years and two Pride belts ago. To say he's a hungry fighter heading into his middleweight bout with Rousimar Palhares at UFC 88 in Atlanta is an understatement. Yet to say he's washed up after dropping back-to-back title fights with Quinton Jackson (205) and Anderson Silva (185) respectively, well, that's just plain crazy talk.
MacDonald Steps Up for Second Fight in a Month against Lambert
Thomas Gerbasi, UFC - Despite almost three rounds of fast-paced ground warfare against Demian Maia at UFC 87 on August 9th, Edmonton's Jason "The Athlete" MacDonald has decided to step to the plate again less than a month after the bout to replace injured countryman Jason Day against Jason Lambert at UFC 88.
UFC 89 Growing by the Minute
Thomas Gerbasi, UFC - It's shaping up to be one of the biggest events of 2008, and UFC 89 is just getting bigger with the addition of two more bouts to the card, which will take place at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, England.
Tyson Griffin vs Sean Sherk Official for UFC 90 in Chicago
Thomas Gerbasi, UFC - Rising 155-pound star Tyson Griffin will put his four fight winning streak on the line at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois on October 25th when he squares off against his most accomplished foe to date, former UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk, in a key matchup on the UFC 90 main card.
Kyle Bradley – Ready for Take Two of His UFC Career
Thomas Gerbasi, UFC - Kyle Bradley was patient, Job-like in his resolve as he waited for the phone to ring and for someone to tell him that he was going to be a UFC fighter. Sure, the buzz about him was getting louder, but all he ultimately saw were his peers - the guys he came up with - getting brought into the big shows.
