Nokaut's Ultimate Fighter Finale Report

by Randy Harrison
Nokaut.com

The gladiator's getting ready and Amir says that every fight you have is the most important fight of your career. CB promises to be a different fighter tonight. Evan Tanner says that he's going to do the best to kick his ass and that he needs this win badly. Kendall Grove says that people are doubting him and that the best way to silence those doubts is by beating Evan Tanner. Mike Goldberg welcomes us inside The Pearl at The Palms in Las Vegas and the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He talks about how life-changing it is to win the Ultimate Fighter show, bringing up Forrest Griffin, Rashad Evans, Michael Bisping and Matt Serra. His point is that it's a huge opportunity for the winner. In steps Joe Rogan and he says that it's a huge momentum swing for guys and it pushes their careers to a new level. They talk about the Tanner/Grove main event and how fickle the sport is. Grove was thought to be a top challenger and Tanner was former champion and both guys have fallen on very hard times, Grove inside the cage and Tanner out of it. They talk about the Jesse Taylor situation and then it moves to talking about Amir/CB in the final and how tough the first fight was for Amir to win and that they're both going to know what the other is going to bring in the rematch. They throw it to the highlight previews for the Spencer Fisher/ Jeremy Stephens fight, as well as the Diego Sanchez/Luigi Fioravanti fight and coming up next it's Matt Riddle vs. Dante Rivera. We get a commercial for the new season of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Nogueira vs. Team Mir with a really cool fighter's eye view and the show debuts in September!
We come back to see Rampage and Forrest in the house before we cut to the first fight!

Amir Sadollah (0-0) vs. CB Dollaway (6-0)

Goldberg and Rogan talk about how Amir beat CB and then has to beat CB again to win the tournament. They talk about Sadollah's heart and that if CB had managed to avoid that armbar he would have been just fine and probably would have won. They talk about Amir and that he's an impressive fighter that has won fights by KO and by submission and can pull submissions even when he's losing. We go back to Tempe, AZ with CB and he says that he came to Arizona from Ohio to wrestle collegiately. He talks about how he did a little partying but mostly trained to get ready for Amir. He says that he thinks he's a better stand-up fighter and he's going to use that as his strategy. He says he's going to come in and hurt Amir. From there we see Amir in Richmond, VA and that he's been living at home with his parents and that his family is super-supportive. He says he wants it more than anything and won't accept failure.
