any big thanksgiving plans? :)
by cuddlesome on 16.11.2008 15:43
How about an article on the PPV buys for UFC 91 once the final figures are available in about a month or so? Do you think they'll reach the 1.2 million that Dana predicted? And, by the way, my prediction for the proposed Gonzaga fight.....the ape submits at the 2 minute mark of Round 1.
by cuddlesome on 16.11.2008 15:19
So, with his loss to Lesnar last night, what do you see happening with Randy Couture's remaining contracted fights with the UFC? A drop to light heavyweight? Immediate retirement? As for Gonzaga, I think they should match him up in a grimacing contest with a simian opponent.
by cuddlesome on 14.11.2008 22:01
I was wondering whom you would pick in the Lesnar vs Couture fight. Just read your post on NOKAUT.com. All I can say is that I hope you're wrong. I'm not confident about Randy emerging the winner--just hopeful. (Updated betting odds have Couture as an underdog AGAIN.) And, by the way, I loved your comment about Gonzaga's creepy faces.
by DarrickPatrick on 04.11.2008 06:18
Awesome - I was happy to FINALLY just get my Ken Griffey Jr. rookie out of that set in 2004. Like 15 years later, heheh...

I plan on buying 3 boxes of the UFC ones when they come out: that should give me enough to build a set.
by heidiwho on 30.10.2008 04:47
just too funny...the looks he had were the best
by heidiwho on 29.10.2008 23:07
it's that redheaded kid and he's wearing a dress...I don't even want to fucking know..
by heidiwho on 29.10.2008 23:01
are you picking up what I'm putting down? ;)
by DarrickPatrick on 29.10.2008 07:19
And in response to your previous comment, I still hope to one day buy a box of 1989 Upper Deck baseball cards to open. It will be a pretty penny, but totally worth it to ease the childhood side of things. The last cards I bought was a couple boxes of Garbage Pail Kids on eBay.
by DarrickPatrick on 22.10.2008 09:16
Yeah, I was a big baseball card collector when I was little. I almost bought a pack of cards at the store recently 'cause it's been so long since I've opened one, but they only had football. And then I realized I probably wouldn't know most of the players now in the baseball packs anyway.

Then I saw your article - BOOM! Heheheh. The fight-used gear cards are going to make me buy boxes and boxes of them, I'd say. That's cool though. I wonder if they'll have a Beckett MMA Monthly price guide, ha!
by DarrickPatrick on 21.10.2008 10:41
How have you been, man? I read your report on Nokaut about the UFC deal with Topps to do trading cards and I must admit that I am stoked. When they come out, I believe I'll buy 3 boxes of them and sit down like a kid on his birthday.
by heidiwho on 20.10.2008 23:35
hey...so when is the move date set for? and can i bring my puppy...?
by cuddlesome on 18.10.2008 23:58
WOW! 5/11 on your picks for UFC 89. Hope you didn't have any money on them. I didn't fare much better with my predictions, which is why I never bet (real money) on them. If nothing else, I hope the Vera/Jardine match taught Keith (and his management) to insist on more money when it comes time to re-negotiate his contract with the UFC. And if this bout isn't proof that Vera is highly overpaid, I don't know what is.
by heidiwho on 18.10.2008 20:21
i am a bit of a blanket stealer...but that wouldn't matter much...for me or for mr. ice....we'd be sharing a house not a bed...unless there is something about this arrangement that you're not telling me about :-P
by cuddlesome on 18.10.2008 18:43
Just read your preview of UFC 89--great analysis of the fights. Am with you on all but two predictions. I pick Bielkhedn and Bisping to win but can easily see these two bouts going the way you called them.
by heidiwho on 17.10.2008 23:13
i do...i'm sorry...so i guess that would take you off of my list too...*cough* jerkface *cough* but i'll keep looking...heard a mr. ice or something might be looking...interested?
by heidiwho on 17.10.2008 23:04
haha not sure...i had asked before and you had said no...so i'm not all too sure...
by heidiwho on 17.10.2008 22:34
darn him for getting to you first...happy birthday though...can i get you anything special? ;)
by cuddlesome on 17.10.2008 09:28
Happy birthday, guy!
by heidiwho on 05.10.2008 09:26
ok...well do you have any suggestions as to where to keep me then? ;)

In fact, he may not have made it to his sixth birthday. When the future mixed martial arts champ was five years old, he was stricken with spinal meningitis. His parents, strapped for cash, had nowhere to turn until Varner's aunt told them to bring their child to Phoenix Children's Hospital, which took care of him and nursed him back to health.

Junie Browning’s Ultimate Fighter Blog – Week Eight
Junie Allen Browning, Team Mir - Polakowski's hugging really didn't get annoying for me. For some people it might have, but he's a nice guy and the hugging thing was just something he liked to do. It actually put me in a good mood, but it was sorta awkward when I would wake up at seven in the morning and the first thing I would wake up to was a hug from Polakowski.

UFC 91 Musings
Michael DiSanto, UFC - It shouldn't have come as a surprise to anyone when Lesnar left the MGM Grand Garden Arena with the UFC Heavyweight Championship draped over his massive shoulder Saturday night. He was the quintessential fighter to beat Couture.

Who’ll Stop The Brock? The Lesnar Era Begins as Brock Stops Couture in Two

Tonight, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Couture was forced to make room in the history books for the second man to achieve the monumental feat - Brock Lesnar, who stopped Couture in the second round of the UFC 91 main event to take the belt and begin a new era in the UFC heavyweight division.
